Volume 1 : T.N. Krishnan nous offre dans le premier volume, 4 compositions dont la forme est le Kriti, issue du Kirtana (chants anciens dévotionnels). Un des principaux créateurs de cette forme nouvelle de Kriti fut Tyagaraja (1767-1847), il a appartenu à l'âge d'or de la musique carnatique, la 'Trinité' aux côtés de Syama Sastry (1762-1827) et de Muttuswami Dikshitar (1775-1834). Volume 2 : Dans ce second volume T.N. Krishnan nous présente un ragam tanam pallavi. Il conclut avec un javali et l'une de ses propres compositions.
